![]() Why? Because you basically have three resistors now. If you were to connect just a 20 mA load to the divider that you're describing, its voltage would drop below 1V. A voltage divider does allow you to make a certain voltage, that's true, but only as long as you're not drawing any current from it. It's messy.Ī voltage divider is not going to work for your purposes. So you may get 4.9V with just the Arduino, 4.7V if you turn on an LCD backlight and 4.5V if you add a relay. The trouble with having a voltage drop across the power supply cable is that how much it drops depends on how much current you're drawing. The chargers you mentioned are generally fine if they're genuine, but I would still recommend using the DC jack and a 7-12V power supply. If you power it through the USB jack, you're using the 5V input. ![]() If you're using the DC power jack, and a power supply that puts out more than 7V, you're fine. I think I need a 1Kohm and 10kOhm to bring it down to 4.545v, but am not sure how to wire it up (I figured out what resistors I needed using trial and error and a voltage divider calculator) I have access to 330 ohm, 1Kohm, and 10Kohm resistors. In a different thread, someone mentioned resistive divider (is voltage divider same thing?). Are these considered cheapo?Īctually, if the voltage does drop, I think that's okay in this particular situation, since the 3 batteries in series add up to 4.5v instead of 5 anyway (i could use a little voltage drop). I will be using Samsung brand wall wart from a Galaxy S4 or a LG brand wall wart from a Nexus 5 to power it with. Do either of these methods power the device through the +5V pin? I don't think they do, but I'm noob, and don't understand. I planned on powering the device either through the DC power jack or from wall wart to USB. I just want to second what the previous poster said about not powering the Arduino through the +5V pin That's because the voltage drop across the cable increases, your reference voltage changes and that also affects your temperature readings. If you use an analog temperature sensor and a relay for example, your temperature readings will change whenever the relay is switched on. Because you've got lots of thin gauge wire between the 5V regulator in the wall wart and the Arduino, there might be a voltage drop across the cable, and because the 5V rail is also used as the reference voltage for your analog inputs, that can mess up your analog readings. The output of the onboard regulator is far cleaner. In addition to that some cheapo 5V wall warts have very little filtering and put out lots of noise to begin with. One issue is electrical noise, because you're bypassing the filter capacitor on the Arduino board and using relatively long wires. ![]() I mean you can, but it's usually not a good idea. I just want to second what the previous poster said about not powering the Arduino through the +5V pin.

This feels more like a Stark card to me, and certainly will work well in that faction. I feel like 4 gold is the threshold where you’d better do something pretty awesome if you only have one icon. It’s interesting that Summer and Grey Wind have ties to their masters but Ghost does not. ![]() Stealth shines in the current environment, but the can’t-defend ability will matter less often than you think. NW works best right now as a weenie aggro, so make that happen! Stealth is really nice, but he works a bit at cross purposes with the central tech of the faction, which, incidentally, should be ignored. All I can say is this guy is mean in melee. Stealth is always good but when it shuts down that character for all of your challenges it is even better. The most aggressive card in the defensive faction. It's a strong effect and it amuses me how much it destroys the point of Ned - a very powerful bargaining card in Melee here. ![]() Right now Ghost is better for banner factions (though once NW can go full aggro themselves he'll be great again). Stealth that locks one whole character from defending any Challenges? Phenomenal. Good abilities that ensure that you get power and that he’s never a dead card in your hand (unless he got piked). Having Wildfire Assault as a +2 power plot will be a satisfying way to win too!ĭecent icon and strength spread. His icons and strength are OK for his cost, his abilities are really good. Considering The Wall, Benjen is great to run 3x because there are only a few cards that can put him in the dead pile. 4 gold isn’t a ton, and the 2 power on death is strong. The power-grab ability helps speed up an otherwise slow faction, and the anti-stealth ability will be useful occasionally, but for 5 gold I want more impact while he’s on the table.īenjen is solid. He's good, and you'll run him, but you'll wish there was a bit more for the cost. Also, is almost never a dead draw when get more copies because when he dies goes back into your deck meaning can play another one. Gives protection to some of your characters from stealth. Maybe we can get a Bejen = Davos fan theory going, because I'm pretty sure he'll soon be very acquainted with Wildfire. Very thematic card, and a very powerful interrupt in the core gameplay. The Ranger-support is just gravy on top of that.Īin't no stealthing past NW on military. While being a good solid body for his cost, Benjen’s true worth lies in him being able to “lock” the game when you reach 13 power, with your opponent not being able to use a Reset (like Wildfire Assault) without handing you the victory. Power-gain based on something else than Challenge winning is never something to be sneezed at. The effort to lift their huge bulk into the air requires a lot of energy and pelicans have evolved several features to make the process more energy efficient. As they are massive birds, Dalmatian pelicans spend more time on the water than in the air. With a wingspan over 2m and weighing up to 15kg they are one of the biggest flying birds in the world. Dalmatian pelicans are the largest of all pelican species ![]() The presence of the Dalmatian pelican in an area indicates a healthy ecosystem which in turn means more fish for fisherman and a more robust food chain. However conservation efforts aim to protect breeding and feeding sites and educate people on responsible wildlife tourism and the benefits the Dalmatian pelican provide to the ecosystem and mankind alike. More detrimental to their population however is disturbance and loss of nesting grounds as a result of wetland drainage and human encroachment. Females will lay between 1 to 2 eggs and when the chicks hatch, both parents will bring food back for the chicks to feed on.ĭespite having a relatively large distribution across Europe and Asia, the global population of the Dalmatian pelican has steadily been decreasing.Īs such large birds, they require appropriate water sources with abundant prey and man-made developments have reduced much of their hunting grounds. Male Dalmatian pelicans will bring materials to help build the nest while females are responsible for the actual construction. Nests are built on floating reeds and grass and are gradually held together by the pelicans’ droppings. Fish that escape the pelicans them become easy prey for other diving cormorants.īreeding colonies choose bodies of water that contain abundant prey as well as vegetation on which to build nests. By diving deep for fish, the cormorants bring fish closer to the surface where the pelicans can scoop them up. Unlike several other pelican species, the Dalmatian pelican frequently hunts in deeper water, where larger fish are more commonly found.Īs well as fishing in groups, these pelicans will also fish with a different bird species, such as the cormorant. When fishing for food, Dalmatian pelicans will usually work in groups to force fish into larger shoals, thus making it easier to scoop up more fish in one go. Even outside of the breeding season, Dalmatian pelicans are rarely seen alone and roost together in large flocks. However, they are highly opportunistic feeders and will also take frogs, lizards, crabs and lobsters, usually inadvertently when scooping up fish.ĭalmatian pelicans form monogamous bonds during the breeding season and choose a different mate the following year. Like most pelican species, the Dalmatian pelican lives on a diet that consists mainly of fish such as carp, mullet and eels. During the breeding season the Dalmatian pelican requires lakes or wetlands with floating grass and reeds to nest in and is particularly vulnerable to human disturbance in those areas. Thankfully Virtuous – who've already done a fantastic job with their Starlink: Battle for Atlas and Dark Souls: Remastered ports on Switch – has not only managed to get this turn-based tactical behemoth up and running, they've done a properly solid job. It's certainly going to be interesting to see how successfully they've managed to deal with the technical task of porting this lot onto Nintendo's hybrid platform and, if we were to pick from the entire bunch, it's surely XCOM 2 that's provided the biggest challenge in this regard. ![]() Overwatch University is a subreddit dedicated to the educational aspects of Overwatch, we want our users to maintain focus on learning the game, rather than being distracted by memeing or being ridiculed when asking for help.
